We know you're excited about getting new playtests! Let's explain how our invitation process works and what affects your chances of receiving them.

Understanding Playtest Selection: 

Your playtest invitations depend on several important factors. Game developers often look for specific groups of players - which means the number of tests you receive can vary based on your profile details.

What Affects Your Playtest Opportunities: 

Your location plays a big role in test selection, as developers often target specific countries for their games. Other key factors include your age, gender, gaming preferences, and device type. 

For example, a developer might be looking for players from India and Indonesia with a 70:30 male-female ratio, aged 20-35, who have played games like Age of Empires, Civilization VI, or The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. They might specifically want testers who enjoy both strategy and adventure elements in their gaming experience.

Keep Your Profile Current: 

To maximize your chances of receiving relevant playtests, make sure your profile information stays up-to-date. 

This includes:

• Your current mobile device model

• Games you're actively playing

• Games you've played extensively in the past
  
  

Be honest about your gaming experience - only list genres you've played significantly. Why? Developers often want fresh perspectives from players who haven't tried similar games, so accurate information helps match you with the right opportunities.

Timing and Availability: 

You might receive test invitations at various times since we work with developers worldwide across different time zones. Don't worry if you can't participate in every test - there's no penalty for missing opportunities, and new tests arrive regularly.

Need to skip a Test? If you can't make a scheduled playtest, simply write to us at support@lysto.io.  We understand that timing doesn't always work out, and there will always be future opportunities to participate.
