Understanding Playtest Timing and Deadlines

Most of our playtests work on a first-come, first-served basis. While there usually isn't a set deadline, spots can fill up quickly! We recommend starting your playtest as soon as you receive an invitation to secure your spot.

Different Types of Playtests:

Single-Session Playtests

Most of our playtests work on a first-come, first-served basis. While there's typically no strict deadline, spots fill up quickly. We recommend joining a playtest as soon as you receive an invitation, as we can't reserve spots for individual testers. Your spot is only secured once you actually start the playtest.

Retention/ longitudinal Playtests:

For playtests that run over several days, timing becomes more important. These special playtests have specific requirements:

  • Each day's session (only survey / Playtest + Survey) must be completed before midnight

  • The playtest and surveys reset at midnight each day

  • Missing a day's session might affect your payment eligibility

  • Complete both the gameplay and surveys each day unless told otherwise

Multi-Session Tests: If your playtest involves multiple separate sessions, check your invitation email carefully. These playtests have specific deadlines that you'll need to follow. We'll always include these important dates in your invitation, email

Important Note: Your spot in any playtest is only secured once you begin playing. Even if there's no set deadline, waiting too long might mean missing out as available slots fill up quickly.
