Types of Playtesting Opportunities

At Lysto, we offer two main categories of playtesting opportunities. Here's what you need to know about each format.

Gameplay Testing:

 Single-Session Playtests

  • This is our most common type of testing format

  • You will complete one gameplay recording followed by a survey

  • You should complete your feedback immediately while your gaming experience is fresh

 Longitudinal/ Retention Playtests:

  • You will record once per day over multiple days

  • You must complete the required daily surveys

  • You should check your invitation email for specific requirements

 Multiple-Session Playtests:

  • You will complete several gameplay recordings with required breaks between sessions

  • You will find the break duration specified in your test instructions

 Multiplayer Sessions:

  • You will participate in coordinated gameplay with other testers

  • You must follow specific time slots

Testing Without Gameplay:

 Concept Reviews:

  • You will evaluate new gaming ideas through slideshows

  • You should provide verbal feedback on designs, stories, or advertisements

  • You must share your thoughts out loud while viewing materials

 Written Feedback:

  • You can complete standalone surveys.

  • You must provide detailed responses (minimum 30 characters)

 Focus Groups

  • You will join video discussions about games and concepts

  • You must use the Lysto app/ meet link for participation

  • You should cancel through the invitation email link if you are unable to attend

Important Note:

  • Your physical location must match the country listed in your profile to complete surveys and receive payment

  • You should always check your invitation email for specific requirements and instructions for each test type
