What do you record on my screen?

Understanding Your Recording Session:

At Lysto, we want to ensure you're aware of what gets captured during your playtest and how to protect your privacy. Here's what you need to know about the recording process.

Recording Indicators:

  • Android Users: Look for a red blob on the side of your screen - this confirms active recording

  • Recording remains active until you manually end it

  • When recording stops, these indicators will disappear

What Gets Recorded:

  • Everything displayed on your screen during the session

  • All audio through your microphone

  • Any notifications or pop-ups that appear

Protecting Your Privacy:

  • Enable Do Not Disturb mode before starting your recording

  • Close all background applications completely

  • Disable notifications for messaging apps during the playtest

  • Stay within the game being tested - avoid switching to other apps

Best Practices:

  • Focus solely on the playtest app

  • Avoid checking messages, emails, or other communications

  • Keep all personal conversations and notifications private during testing

  • Don't switch between apps during your recording session

Important Privacy Note: While our review team makes every effort to remove personal notifications from recordings, some may occasionally be missed. For complete privacy protection, always use Do Not Disturb mode during your playtests.

After Recording:

  • Verify recording has stopped by checking that the red blob (Android) has disappeared

  • You can safely disable the Do Not Disturb mode

  • Your recording will upload automatically with stable internet
