Understanding Playtest Time Limits
Proper timing is essential for providing valuable feedback to game developers. Here's what you need to know about our testing windows and deadlines.
Single-Session Playtests:
• You have a 12-hour window to complete both your gameplay recording and follow-up survey
• This time limit begins the moment you first open the game to start testing
• All submissions after the 12-hour period cannot be accepted
• We maintain this timeframe to ensure your feedback captures fresh, accurate impressions of the game
Multiple-Session Playtests:
• Plan for breaks between completing one session's survey and starting your next recording
• Submit your survey promptly after each session
• Break requirements or intervals, if any, will be clearly specified in your test instructions
Retention/Longitudinal Playtests:
• Each session and its corresponding survey must be completed within the same calendar day
• If there are any break days between testing days, this will be clearly communicated in your test instructions
Time Management Tips:
• Schedule your testing when you know you'll have sufficient uninterrupted time
• Complete surveys immediately after gameplay while your impressions are fresh
• Factor in potential technical setup time when planning your session
Important: Remember that these timing requirements help ensure developers receive the most accurate and valuable feedback possible. Plan your testing schedule accordingly to meet all requirements.
